I run the counter at Shri Narayan Machinery LLP in Sector 9, Noida, and half my phone calls open the same way: "Bhaiya, ⌀50 cylinder ka kya rate hai?" Most price pages online dodge that with "request a callback". This one doesn't. Every number below is the working "from" rate on our pneumatics catalog, computed from each brand's current price list. Nothing here is scraped off a marketplace or guessed by a copywriter, and as far as I know, no other dealer in this trade publishes rates wired to a live catalog at all.
How to read these prices
Four brands carry numbers here; one doesn't. We're an authorized dealer for SPAC Pneumatic, so SPAC prices are MRP minus 30%. Janatics runs at list minus 18%, Techno at list minus 40%, and Festo figures are indicative at list minus 18%. SMC we quote only on request, so you won't find an SMC price in any table on this site, this post included. "From ₹X" means the cheapest live model in that series or bore: single piece, ex-GST, usually the shortest stroke. Your exact configuration gets its exact price on WhatsApp, normally within minutes during shop hours.
One more thing about honesty in "from" prices, because this trade is full of bait numbers. Some series in the raw price lists open with rows that aren't the product at all. Techno's STAR and AT cylinder series, for instance, start at ₹27 and ₹48 in the list, and every one of those rows is a spare actuator spring, not a cylinder. SPAC's process-valve list opens at ₹188, and that row is a coil cover. We've stripped rows like that out of every table below. If you ever see a "pneumatic cylinder from ₹27" claim somewhere, now you know what you're actually looking at.
What actually moves a cylinder's price
Five things, in roughly this order:
- Bore. The biggest lever. On SPAC's tie-rod ladder the same 25mm-stroke cylinder goes from ₹1,074 at ⌀40 to ₹4,425 at ⌀125. More bore means more force, and a lot more metal.
- Stroke. The "from" price at any bore is nearly always the shortest stroke in the series. Stretch the stroke and the barrel, rod and price grow with it: SPAC's ⌀40 listings alone run from ₹1,074 to ₹14,292 across series and strokes.
- Construction standard. A short-stroke compact is the cheapest way into a bore. Techno's ⌀40 × 5mm SDA thin cylinder lists from ₹534, while a full ISO 15552 tie-rod at the same bore is roughly double that. Tie-rods cost more upfront and repay it later, because they're built to be resealed for years.
- Magnetic piston. Sensor-ready pistons cost a little extra. Real pair from the Janatics list: the A02 compact at ⌀12 × 10mm stroke is ₹597 and its magnetic twin, the A03, is ₹690 at the same size. ₹93 for reed-switch sensing is usually money well spent on an automated line.
- Special formats. Guided, rotary and semi-rotary units are a different machining class. SPAC's basic EMAL compact opens at ₹680, but its P2GP tri-rod guided series opens at ₹4,556 and the SRC rotary at ₹3,472. Festo's DSR semi-rotary drive starts at ₹14,671. Same compressed air, very different metalwork.
Cushioning sits on top of all this: adjustable end cushioning adds parts and cost at every bore, and on fast cycling lines it isn't optional. Quality-wise the short version is no secret in this trade: Festo builds the best cylinder, SPAC gets you close for a third of the money, Janatics is a proper manufacturer that punches above its price, and Techno is the budget tier with the trade-offs that implies. - Tightest budget, general-purpose duty: Techno. The list-minus-40% structure makes it the lowest entry at nearly every bore, and ₹270 gets you started on a mini cylinder.
- Standard Indian production line: SPAC. We're the authorized dealer, the discount comes straight off MRP, and with 3,810 cylinder models it's the deepest stock on our shelves.
- Widest series spread from an Indian maker: Janatics: 28 cylinder series covering compacts, round-body, hydro-check and double-ended designs.
- Imported spec, hard 24/7 duty, or export machines that need global documentation: Festo — the best-built cylinder we stock. Budget roughly three times the SPAC figure at the same ISO bore (₹6,325 vs ₹2,276 at ⌀80) and quote per part number.
- Machine spec names SMC: WhatsApp the part number. SMC is on-request only, always.

Cylinders get the attention; valves quietly decide the panel cost. Starting rates from the same catalog:

That table is the commodity end. Specials climb fast: Festo's MN1H solenoid series starts at ₹7,492, a Janatics pneumatic timer at ₹7,840, and Festo's VZ time-delay valve at ₹11,435. If your circuit genuinely needs one of those, it needs it. Just don't budget flow-control money for a line item that reads "time delay".
FRL and air-prep prices
Every cylinder and valve on this page dies early on wet, dirty air, and Noida's monsoon humidity makes that a when, not an if. Budget the air prep with the actuators, not after them.

Precision and electronic air-prep is its own budget line: Festo's LRP precision regulator starts at ₹5,184 and the Janatics PPR electronic proportional regulator at ₹11,604. Most shop-floor lines here need neither. A ₹204 FRL, drained on schedule, covers the basics.
A worked starter budget: one ⌀63 axis
Numbers mean more assembled than listed, so here's one complete pushing axis priced entirely off the tables above. A SPAC ESC tie-rod at ⌀63 × 25mm stroke is ₹1,496. Drive it with a SPAC 3/2 single solenoid at ₹357, meter it with two Janatics GR flow controls at ₹159 each, and put a Techno FRL at ₹204 ahead of it. That's ₹2,375 for the working core of the axis, before fittings, tube and GST. Push-in fittings won't dent that number much: SPAC's fitting series start between ₹14 and ₹78 apiece, and tubing lines open at ₹8 (Techno), ₹18 (SPAC and Janatics) and ₹27 (Festo's PUN).
Now run the same axis in imported spec: swap that one cylinder for Festo's ⌀63 compact at ₹4,677 and the flow controls for GRLA-M5-B at ₹374 each, and the core jumps to ₹5,986 before you've touched the valve. Neither build is wrong. One suits a jig that cycles forty times a day, the other suits an export machine where the buyer's engineer will ask for the Festo part numbers by name. That's the real use of a price guide: knowing which argument you're paying for before the PO goes out.
Repair vs new: run the maths before you raise the PO
The other half of this pricing story: a tired cylinder often doesn't need replacing. A standard tie-rod cylinder reseals at our Sector 9 bench for ₹900-1,500 at ⌀40 bore, scaling to ₹6,000-10,000 at ⌀160, with 24-72 hour turnaround. That's typically 50-70% cheaper than buying new, and the saving grows with bore size. Our working rule hasn't changed in years: ⌀40 and above with tie-rod construction, repair first; ⌀25 and below, buy new, because labour eats the saving; and if a repair quote ever crosses about half the new price, we'll tell you to replace, since we sell the new one at the same counter either way.
