I walk factory floors in Noida and Greater Noida most days of the week, and the question I get asked more than any other is some version of "SPAC lein ya Janatics?" Both are Indian, both make proper ISO 15552 cylinders, and we sell both from the same counter in Sector 9. Short version: on tie-rod cylinders SPAC is cheaper at every bore, we're SPAC's authorized dealer so our rate comes off MRP, and the SPAC factory is in Sector 57, Noida, while Janatics comes up from Coimbatore. Janatics has the bigger catalogue, far more valve series, and stainless angle-seat valves that SPAC doesn't make. Here it is bore by bore.
Two Indian manufacturers, one of them local
First thing, neither of these is a trading label with a sticker on somebody else's stock. Janatics has been manufacturing in Coimbatore since 1977, with their own die casting. SPAC is Shree Prayag Air Controls Pvt. Ltd., head office at A-56, Sector 57, Noida, running for over twenty years with five manufacturing units. On the machine, their ISO 15552 tie-rod cylinders, SPAC's ESNC and ESC and Janatics' A28, are interchangeable: same bore, same stroke, same mounting holes. I've swapped one for the other on lines in Greater Noida more times than I can count and the machine has never noticed.
Where they differ first is geography. Our counter is Sector 9. SPAC's office is twenty minutes away. Janatics is roughly 2,500 km of road. Both companies restock quickly by Indian standards, but only one of them is close enough that somebody can put a part in a car and have it at your plant the same afternoon. It's also why we can offer something on SPAC that I haven't seen anyone else in India commit to: a cylinder built to your own spec, non-standard stroke, odd mounting, whatever the drawing says, in your hands within five days, tops.
Bore by bore
Cheapest 25mm-stroke tie-rod model at each bore, from the list we're working off in September 2026. SPAC at our authorized rate (MRP −30%), Janatics at our stockist rate (list −18%). Ex-GST, and the final number is on WhatsApp against your exact model.
| Bore (25mm stroke) | SPAC from (authorized) | Janatics from | SPAC saves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ø32 | ₹974 ESC | ₹1,077 A28 | ₹103 |
| Ø40 | ₹1,074 ESC | ₹1,194 A28 | ₹120 |
| Ø50 | ₹1,166 ESC | ₹1,298 A28 | ₹132 |
| Ø63 | ₹1,496 ESC | ₹1,638 A28 | ₹142 |
| Ø80 | ₹2,276 ESNC | ₹2,526 A28 | ₹250 |
| Ø100 | ₹2,711 ESC | ₹2,968 A28 | ₹257 |
| Ø125 | ₹4,425 ESC | ₹6,512 A16 | ₹2,087 |
Up to Ø63 the difference is a hundred to a hundred and fifty rupees a cylinder, about ten percent. At Ø80 and Ø100 it's about ₹250. At Ø125 Janatics' tie-rod range has run out and you're onto the A16 round-body, and the gap jumps to over two thousand. On one replacement cylinder nobody really cares. On a new line with thirty cylinders, the difference buys you the FRL unit.
Why the SPAC number is lower
It isn't that SPAC is a cheaper factory. Both companies price their lists sensibly. It's the channel. We're SPAC's authorized dealer, we buy direct, and our rate is 30% off SPAC's MRP on every line. Janatics we stock as a genuine stockist through authorized channels at list minus 18%, which is a fair rate but not a factory rate. Those twelve points are most of what you're seeing in the last column.
Being authorized also gets you things that never show up on a price list. Warranty claims go from our counter to a factory in the same city. Odd sizes, of which the ESNC range alone has 912 up to Ø250 × 1000, come from Sector 57 in a few days instead of waiting on a distributor's stock cycle. And if the size you need isn't in any catalogue, we get it made to your drawing and delivered within five days. On Janatics I can get you most things, but I can't promise you that.
Seal kits and spares
Janatics' big pitch, and it's a fair one, is that Indian-made means spares turn up in days rather than shipping cycles. True. SPAC's answer is that the factory is in the same city as the shop. Day to day, both brands' fast-moving seal kits sit on our shelf and both companies' odd sizes arrive within the week. The difference only shows in an emergency, and then it's SPAC.
- Janatics seal kits: the SK series, 50 part numbers, from ₹217 for an A02 Ø20 kit
- SPAC seal kits: 90 part numbers, from ₹232; ESC kits from ₹248, an ESNC Ø80 kit is ₹1,010
- Either brand: Sanjay on our bench reseals a ⌀40 for ₹900-1,500 and rebuilds a ⌀160 for ₹6,000-10,000, with 24-72 hour turnaround, whatever name is on the barrel. Details on the repair page.
Seal kits are a draw. Janatics is a few rupees cheaper to get started, SPAC has almost twice as many part numbers. I wouldn't pick a brand on this.
Where I'd tell you to buy Janatics
We sell both over the same counter, so this isn't a hard thing for me to say. Go Janatics when:
- It's a compact. A02 Ø32 is ₹983 against the SPAC SQ2 Ø32 at ₹1,020. ₹37 won't decide anything, but Janatics is cheaper there.
- You need range. 28 cylinder series against SPAC's 12: hydro-check, double-ended, round-body in more bores. If your line has an unusual job on it, Janatics probably has a page for it.
- The job is valves. 22 series against SPAC's 4, flow controls from ₹159, and SS304 angle-seat valves from ₹3,055 for washdown areas, which SPAC doesn't have at all.
- The job is air prep. 12 FRL series against SPAC's 2, with combined filter-regulator-lubricator units from ₹1,867.
So: Janatics is the broader catalogue, SPAC is the sharper price on the tie-rod cylinders that make up most of what a Noida line actually buys, and SPAC is the one whose factory you can drive to.
What I actually recommend on a survey
SPAC, when…
- It's a new line and the cylinders are ISO 15552 tie-rod, Ø32 to Ø125
- You want the authorized-dealer rate and the warranty route that comes with it
- Getting a spare the same day matters more than catalogue breadth
- You need a non-standard cylinder built to a drawing, and you need it inside a week
- You're standardising a plant in Noida, Greater Noida or Ghaziabad
Janatics, when…
- The machine already runs Janatics and your storeroom is stocked for it
- You need hydro-check, double-ended or an odd round-body size
- You're buying valves and air prep more than cylinders
- There's a washdown zone that wants SS304 angle-seat valves
Whatever you pick, size the cylinder before you price it. Our air consumption calculator and the force calculator take two minutes and will stop you paying Ø63 money for a Ø50 job, in either brand. Then WhatsApp me the application, bore, stroke, duty, how many, and you'll get both brands priced side by side the same day from Sector 9, Noida. If you want the whole SPAC list first, it's in our 2026 SPAC price list.
