Quick answer: on SKF India's 2026 price list (effective 30 March 2026), the most-bought deep groove sizes, 6204 to 6210, run ₹330-1,360 a piece depending on size and sealing. Open bearings sit at the bottom of each band, sealed 2RS1 versions at the top. Every figure on this page is an indicative list price, GST extra; dealer quotes run below list, so WhatsApp the designation for our rate.
Half the calls I take at the counter start the same way: "6205 ka best rate kya hai?" Fair question, slippery answer, because there's no single price for an SKF bearing. There's the published list price, the dealer quote under it, and a market full of numbers that don't always describe the same product. So here's the current list decoded: what the 2026 bands look like family by family, why two sellers quote differently for the same designation, and the one price signal that should make you walk away from a deal.
How SKF pricing works in India
SKF India publishes a Recommended Selling Price list for its industrial products. The edition running right now is RSP 2026 Edition No. 1, effective from 30 March 2026, and it supersedes every list before it, so a quote built on a 2024 or 2025 list is already stale. It lists 5,273 designations, and SKF says plainly that prices can change without notice. A number of rows don't carry a price at all, just a "price on request" marker, usually against slower-moving or import-dependent items where availability decides the rate.
Two things to hold onto when you read any SKF number. First, the list price isn't the street price. Dealer quotes run below list, and how far below depends on the item, the quantity, and the relationship. We don't publish a discount percentage here; WhatsApp the designation and you'll have our actual rate in minutes. Second, every band on this page is indicative and GST extra. The final figure lives on the invoice, not on a blog.
Deep groove ball bearings: 6200 series (6202-6212)
This is the family that moves. Motors, pumps, fans, gearboxes — most of what fails on a Noida factory floor takes a 6200-series deep groove ball bearing. The 2026 list carries 223 designations in this series alone. Stick to the standard catalogue variants (open, Z, 2Z, RS1, 2RS1, with C3 or C4 clearance) and the whole series spans roughly ₹170-6,300. Size by size, the everyday bands look like this:
| Size | 2026 list band (open to 2RS1) |
|---|---|
| 6202 | ₹170-260 |
| 6203 | ₹230-320 |
| 6204 | ₹330-450 |
| 6205 | ₹450-590 |
| 6206 | ₹670-790 |
| 6208 | ₹810-980 |
| 6210 | ₹1,020-1,360 |
| 6212 | ₹1,530-1,770 |
One caution before you quote these at a seller: the full 6200-series spread runs to about ₹47,000, but that top end belongs to special builds (VA228 high-temperature variants, machined brass cages) that a normal motor or pump job never asks for. If a number looks wild, check whether the suffix is special before assuming the market's gone mad. The series lives on our SKF deep groove ball bearings page if you want the spec side.
And a habit worth building: check the clearance-suffix maths. On the 2026 list, the C3 clearance version of a standard variant usually carries the same list price as the normal-clearance one (a 6205-2RS1/C3 lists identical to a 6205-2RS1), though a few sizes drift a shade apart. So if someone's charging a fat premium "because it's C3", that premium is theirs, not SKF's.
Deep groove 6300 series (6302-6312)
Same bearing type, heavier section. A 6300-series bearing carries more radial load than the 6200 of the same bore, which is why crushers, blowers and the rougher drives in Sector 63's fabrication units tend to run them. The 2026 list carries 204 designations here; standard variants span roughly ₹300-8,000, with the family-wide spread reaching about ₹24,500 once special builds are counted.
| Size | 2026 list band (open to 2RS1) |
|---|---|
| 6302 | ₹300-430 |
| 6303 | ₹380-470 |
| 6304 | ₹330-460 |
| 6305 | ₹500-590 |
| 6306 | ₹730-820 |
| 6308 | ₹1,210-1,710 |
| 6310 | ₹1,940-2,270 |
| 6312 | ₹3,470-3,700 |
Here's the bit that surprises people: stepping up to the heavier series doesn't always cost much. For the same 25mm bore, the 6305 band (₹500-590) sits practically on top of the 6205 band (₹450-590), and the 6304 matches the 6204 almost rupee for rupee. If the housing has room and the load leans heavy, the stronger section can be nearly free at list. The two series only genuinely diverge from 6308 upward, where the price gap widens fast.
2Z vs 2RS1: what the suffix does to the price
2Z means shielded both sides: metal shields, non-contact. 2RS1 means sealed both sides: rubber lips that touch the inner ring. On the 2026 list the sealed version usually costs more than the shielded one of the same size. About half the sizes show a gap in the 5-12% range, a few stretch further (the 6308 gap is about 26%), and the 6312 flips the pattern entirely, with the sealed version listing a shade under the shielded one. Family-wide, the 6200-series 2Z variants span ₹230-3,450 against ₹250-4,200 for the 2RS versions.
My advice, and it's an opinion: with the dust and monsoon humidity we deal with across NCR, default to sealed 2RS1 anywhere the housing is open to the shop floor, and keep 2Z for cleaner, faster-running spots. The few percent you save on the shield is nothing against a bearing that inhales grinding dust for six months and dies early.
Taper roller bearings (30204-30310)
Taper rollers take combined radial and axial load: gearbox shafts, wheel hubs, anywhere the load pushes sideways and along the shaft at once. The 2026 list prices 31 designations across the 30204-30310 range, and unusually for this list, not one is marked price on request. Bands by size tier:
| Size range | 2026 list band |
|---|---|
| 30204-30212 | ₹530-7,450 |
| 30213-30220 | ₹2,300-26,000 |
| 30221-30230 (larger) | ₹32,000-127,000 |
| 30302-30310 | ₹550-7,950 |
The jump between tiers is steep because taper roller cost scales hard with section size: a 30220 is a very different lump of steel from a 30204. Specs and applications are on the SKF tapered roller bearings page.
Spherical roller bearings (22208-22220)
Spherical rollers forgive misalignment and carry serious radial load, which is why vibrating screens, big fans and conveyor pulley drums run them. They're also the priciest family in this guide:
| Size range | 2026 list band |
|---|---|
| 22208-22212 | ₹10,500-15,000 |
| 22213-22216 | ₹14,500-21,500 |
| 22217-22220 | ₹24,000-34,500 |
One thing worth knowing: of the 138 spherical roller designations in the list, 76 carry the price-on-request marker, more than half the family. Beyond the common E-design sizes, the honest answer on price is stock-dependent, so send the full designation and let us check. Details on the SKF spherical roller bearings page.
Angular contact, self-aligning, and the rest of the list
Angular contact (7204-7310): the industrial B-design runs roughly ₹2,950-24,000 across 7204-7212, ₹3,100-26,500 across 7302-7310, and ₹11,500-79,000 for the bigger 7213-7222 sizes. The same list carries super-precision matched sets that reach about ₹2,00,000, which is machine-tool spindle territory; don't let one of those quotes scare you off a standard B-design pump bearing. Series detail: SKF angular contact ball bearings.
Self-aligning ball (1200/1300/2200/2300): ₹2,400-74,500 depending on series and size, with the everyday 1204-1210 sizes clustered around ₹2,650-4,150.
Also priced in the list: cylindrical rollers (NU/NJ/NUP: 961 designations, the biggest single family), thrust ball bearings (82) and needle bearings (223). Their bands swing too much by type to be useful in a table, so for those, WhatsApp the designation. Not priced in this list: pillow block and insert units (UCP, UCF, UCFL). The 2026 industrial list simply doesn't carry unit prices, so those are quoted against stock; the range itself is on our SKF pillow block bearing units page.
The too-cheap warning
Now use these bands in reverse. Genuine SKF moves through a known distribution chain, and honest dealer quotes cluster within a sane distance of list. When an offer lands 40-50% below the going market rate, you're not looking at a discount — you're looking at a different product with SKF's letters on it. And the fast-moving sizes in the tables above (6204, 6205, 6305, 6203) are exactly the ones counterfeiters copy, because they sell in volume and most buyers never look past the stamp.
Don't know the designation? Decode it first
Every price above hangs off a designation, so get the number right before you ask for rates. The stamp tells you everything. On a 6205-2RS1: 6 is the bearing type, 2 the dimension series, 05 the bore code (multiply by 5 for codes 04 and up, so 25mm bore), and 2RS1 the sealing. Run any marking through our free bearing number decoder and it'll spell the whole thing out. Marking worn off entirely? Measure bore, outside diameter and width with a vernier, and the bearing finder by dimensions works backwards to the designation.
When you do ask for quotes, compare them properly:
- Full designation, suffixes included: 6205-2RS1/C3 is not 6205.
- GST position stated: a "cheaper" quote without GST isn't cheaper.
- Quantity on the table: per-piece rates move with volume, so say if you need ten.
- GST invoice with the designation on it: your only real paper trail if a bearing is ever questioned.
